Guidance and Psychological Counseling Program 2024–2025 Advisory Board Meeting Held

The Advisory Board of the Guidance and Psychological Counseling Program within the Department of Educational Sciences at TED University held its first meeting of the 2024–2025 academic year. The meeting was attended by faculty members, professional psychological counselors, and a student representative.

Participants included Dr. Begüm Serim-Yıldız (Head of the Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling, TED University), Prof. Dr. Nilüfer Voltan Acar (Honorary President of the Turkish Psychological Counseling and Guidance Association, TED University), Prof. Dr. İlhan Yalçın (Faculty Member, Ankara University), Specialist Psychological Counselor Şenay Avcı (Guidance and Psychological Counseling Specialist and Unit Supervisor, TED Ankara College Foundation), Dr. Psychological Counselor Nafi Ayköse (School Principal, Büyük Kolej Secondary School, High School, and Science High School), Specialist Psychological Counselor Melike Uslu Taş (Head of the Women’s Counseling Center and Shelter, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality), Specialist Psychological Counselor İlmiye Edepli Kaya (Ministry of Family and Social Services of the Republic of Türkiye), Scholarship Research Assistant Şevval Özkan (Alumni Representative, TED University), and Student Representative Zeynep Yatarkalkmaz(TED University).

During the meeting, the overall functioning of the program, revisions implemented in the previous academic year, and areas requiring further development were discussed. Advisory Board members shared their evaluations and recommendations, contributing to a comprehensive review of the program. In line with current needs, ideas were exchanged to further strengthen student support mechanisms and enhance the program’s relevance. The Board reached a consensus on planning new projects and activities aimed at supporting students’ academic and professional development.
