Seminar Series Coordinated by Dr. S. Burcu Özgülük Üçok Raised Awareness Against Violence Against Women in Collaboration with ABB

The seminar series conducted through the collaboration of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality and TED University was successfully held within the scope of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (25 November). Organized with the aim of raising awareness about violence against women and strengthening public consciousness, the seminars attracted significant interest from participants.

🎓 Academic Coordination and Student Contribution

The seminars were carried out by students of the Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling at TED University under the coordination and supervision of Dr. S. Burcu Özgülük Üçok, a faculty member of the same department.

1. “Healthy Boundaries” Seminar

Held on Wednesday, November 12, at 14:30 at the Sincan Women’s Center, the seminar enabled participants to gain important insights into:

  • The psychological foundations of personal boundaries,
  • Recognizing boundary violations in relationships,
  • Understanding why saying “no” constitutes a healthy boundary.

2. “Nonviolent Communication” Seminar

The “Nonviolent Communication” seminar took place on Friday, November 14, at 12:30 at the Demetevler Women’s Center, where participants explored:

  • The core principles of nonviolent communication,
  • Its reflections and applications in daily life.

At the conclusion of this seminar series, jointly organized by TED University and Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, appreciation was extended to all participants and contributors who supported the successful implementation of these activities.
