The main difference that distinguishes the TED University Faculty of Education from the education faculties of other universities is that the university educates all its students with the liberal education philosophy tradition in the programs within the Faculty of Education. In this direction, it provides a working environment that enables students to better understand all the elements that make up their physical, emotional, mental, social, and cultural lives and the multidimensional relations between these elements and to gain a critical thinking approach.
TED University's GPC undergraduate program has become prominent among other GPC programs in the country by increasing the practicum credits of the courses in this program. High-quality training for GPC candidates is not only provided by theoretical courses but also allows the candidates to participate effectively in the teaching and learning processes. In order to achieve this quality, each psychological counselor candidate is required to participate in a series of extracurricular activities, make observations and research, and perform various practical activities personally during their undergraduate education. For this reason, gradually increasing practicum activities have been placed in the courses in order to gain practical competence for the counselor candidates.
Another feature that distinguishes the TED University RPD program from other national programs is that students are required to take at least one course from each discipline in the field of basic sciences along with field courses in order to create a rich cultural infrastructure. TED University has a curriculum that is based on a liberal education approach, allows students to specialize in line with their own preferences, and adopts an integrative education philosophy. The GPC curriculum allows students to prepare seminars, conduct interdisciplinary studies and research, and prepare capstone experiences.
The language of instruction at TEDU is English, which enables students to easily follow up to date and global resources and thus contribute to their professional and personal development. In addition, students can more easily benefit from the opportunities to work abroad as Psychological Counselors, receive graduate education, and participate in various trainings, thanks to TEDU's English medium of instruction.
