Career Opportunities
Since the medium of instruction at TEDU is English, students are able to follow the literature and other sources in their field, which contributes to their personal and professional development. Students who satisfactorily complete all the requirements of the program earn the degree of Bachelor of Science in Guidance and Psychological Counseling. After they receive their degree, students can work as school counselors in public and private schools. In addition, the graduates can also work at the Ministry of Family and Social Policies and the Ministry of Justice, in private educational institutions, private family counseling services, private counseling services, human resources offices, and departments of education at universities and other higher education institutions. Since the Ministry of National Education (MoNE) has a shortage of school counselors in state schools, the graduates of the TEDU GPC program will have an opportunity to work as school counselors in the schools of MoNE.
Internship and Practical Training Processes
Students in the Guidance and Psychological Counseling Program have the opportunity to develop professional competencies and gain field experience through various practice-based courses offered throughout their undergraduate education. Through these courses and field experiences, students gain practical experience in areas such as individual counseling, group counseling, psychoeducational program development, and the planning and implementation of guidance services.
The practical training and field experience processes provide important learning opportunities for students to internalize professional ethical principles, develop counseling skills, and experience their professional roles and responsibilities in real-life contexts. These processes are carried out in cooperation with the relevant academic units of the university and partner institutions.
Career Development and Support Services
TED University offers a variety of career development services and activities to support students in planning and developing their professional careers. Through career days, seminars, workshops, and counseling services organized by the Career Center, students receive guidance and support in their career planning processes.
Students can benefit from these services to learn about internship opportunities, career options after graduation, and professional development pathways.
