The Research Project titled “Developing A Need Based, Inclusive, and Trauma Sensitive School Resilience Model to Respond to Earthquakes” in which Dr. Begüm Serim-Yıldız is assigned as researcher deserved to be supported in the call of TÜBİTAK ARDEB-1001 “Special Call for Earthquake Research”.
At the end of this project, an inclusive trauma- and culture sensitive school model strengthening the mid-term psychosocial interventions after earthquakes, contributing to the national and international literature and increasing the competence of interdisciplinary work will be developed. This study will contribute to the trauma literature and inclusive trauma-sensitive school interventions through printed and digital materials (desktop virtual simulation, etc.) developed for the individuals with special needs and also those materials can be used outside the school. Also, it will ensure the effective use of the workforce by preventing the trauma related burnout of school staff.
