Asst. Prof. Dr. Begüm Serim-Yıldız, Head of the Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling at TED University, met with parents at the event titled “Family Frequency: Effective Communication, Strong Individuals”, organized by TED Balıkesir College.
The event, held on January 10, 2026, addressed the role of family communication in children’s social and emotional development. In the seminar, Dr. Serim-Yıldız emphasized the importance of effective communication within the family and discussed how parents’ communication styles contribute to children’s ability to express themselves, regulate their emotions, and develop healthy social relationships.
The seminar, organized in two sessions and attended by many parents, also included practical suggestions for strengthening family communication. The event aimed to raise awareness about the role of conscious parenting and healthy communication in supporting children’s development.
