A co-authored study by Dr. Ayşegül Aracı İyiaydın, a faculty member of the Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling at TED University Faculty of Education, has been published in Sex Roles, one of the respected international journals in the field.
The article, titled “Rethinking Sexual Consent Myths: Development and Validation of the Sexual Consent Myths Scale (Sex-M),” addresses common myths that influence individuals’ perceptions of sexual consent and presents the development of a new scale to measure these myths.
According to SciVal data, Sex Roles ranks in the top 5% among 235 journals in the field of Gender Studies and is considered one of the most prestigious academic publications in the field.
The study contributes to a better understanding of misconceptions and stereotypical beliefs regarding sexual consent and presents important findings for the promotion of healthy and egalitarian relationships.
