As a result of the initiatives by TED University's Faculty of Education IB Commission, Liz McKenna, IBEC Consultant for the Asia-Pacific region, and Liza Tercero from the United Kingdom visited our university on November 19-20, 2024. The main agenda of this visit was to support the recognition process of our faculty as an IBEC (International Baccalaureate Educator Certificate) University on an international platform.

During this visit, our innovative “Global Learning and Teaching Certificate Program”, designed for IB PYP (Primary Years Programme) teacher training at both national and international levels, was introduced to our guests. Over the course of two days, we engaged with various collaborators and received invaluable and thought-provoking feedback for the further development of our program.

This innovative certificate program is set to include TED University academics as well as experienced teachers from various TED IB schools as trainers. The program aims to contribute to teacher education at both national and international levels and to enhance global educational standards.

This visit represents a concrete step in TED University's vision to strengthen international collaborations and develop innovative solutions in education. It also reaffirms our commitment to the principle of ensuring access to quality education on a global scale.
