The ‘Nonviolent Communication’ Seminars Coordinated by Dr. S. Burcu Özgülük Üçok Were Successfully Held

The seminars were conducted by TED University Guidance and Psychological Counseling (GPC) students under the coordination and supervision of Dr. S. Burcu Özgülük Üçok, a faculty member of the Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling at TED University.

Aimed at exploring the core principles of nonviolent communication and their reflections in daily life, the seminars provided participants with the opportunity to focus on key skills such as:

  • Awareness of emotions and needs,
  • Empathic listening,
  • Nonjudgmental self-expression,
  • Constructive communication strategies in conflict situations.

It was emphasized that nonviolent communication is an approach that promotes listening with empathy and expressing oneself honestly, free from judgment and blame.

The seminars were held on Wednesday, November 5, at Şafaktepe Women’s Center (Mamak) and on Thursday, November 6, at Harikalar Diyarı Women’s Center (Sincan).
