Within the scope of courses on marriage and family dynamics conducted by Assist. Prof. S. Burcu Özgülük Üçok, faculty member of the Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling at TED University, and under her coordination, a seminar entitled “Sustaining Relationships: Continue or Conclude? Dynamics Shaping Our Decisions” was delivered by Dr. Eda Çürükvelioğlu Köksal.

Organized as part of the TEDU101 Mix & Mingle activities, the seminar addressed the psychological, relational, and contextual dynamics influencing individuals’ decisions to maintain or terminate romantic relationships. The event aimed to support students in evaluating close relationships within a scientific framework and in developing greater awareness regarding relationship processes.

The seminar speaker, Dr. Eda Çürükvelioğlu Köksal, completed her undergraduate education in Guidance and Psychological Counseling at Maltepe University in 2009 and pursued her master’s and doctoral studies at Middle East Technical University. Her master’s and doctoral theses focused on romantic relationships among university students, and she has been working as an academic since 2010.

Currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling at Bartın University, Dr. Köksal has also taught as a part-time lecturer at various universities. Her academic portfolio includes articles published in national and international peer-reviewed journals, papers presented at scientific conferences, and master’s theses supervised under her advisement.
