The Advisory Board of the TED University's Department of Educational Sciences Guidance and Psychological Counseling Program held its first meeting. Prof. Dr. Nilüfer Voltan Acar, Prof. Dr. İlhan Yalçın, Şenay Avcı, Adem Yıldırım, and Dr. Nafi Ayköse, participated in the first meeting as the members introduced themselves, and basic information was given about the department's advisory board and its directive, a presentation was made about the department and the department, and then the opinions and suggestions of the board members were received.

The 1st National Career Counseling Symposium was hosted by TED University!

TED University hosted The 1st National Career Counseling Symposium, which was held for the first time in our country. The attention to the symposium that organized in cooperation with TED University and the Turkish Psychological Counseling and Guidance Association on February 27, 2021, was intense. The symposium, with thousands of participants from more than a hundred universities, was also broadcast live on YouTube.

Dr. Kürşad Demirutku gave an interview for +90 Youtube Channel which has been broadcasting for BBC News Turkish on 'Our psychology in the coronavirus process: We have lost the social life we ​​know’ on 02.04.2020.

On May 17^th, the oath-taking ceremony was held for our 2019 candidate graduates from Guidance and Psychological Counseling Program. Our rector Prof. Dr. Belgin Ayvaşık, vice rector Prof. Dr. Kemal Levend Parnas, our dean Prof. Dr. Yüksel Kavak and our faculty members who have given courses them during their university life and their families and friends were there for our students. First of all, Nazım Aydın Şahin and Merve Yağar, who are the two of our students, gave their speech and then, respectively, our head of department Prof. Dr. Nilüfer H.

Within the scope of "EDUC 120 Educational Psychology", which is given by our faculty member Dr. Elif Öztürk, students designed some board games for different age groups by taking cognitive and social development theories into consideration. Our faculty members and students examined those games closely and tested them by playing.

Human Resources Manager of METU Development Foundation Schools, Simla Cumhur was in our faculty on the 11^th May in order to give students information about interviews. Simla Cumhur, who we hosted thanks to our part-time faculty member Psychological Counselor Gökmen Öcal, shared many valuable experiences and knowledge about work life and recruitment processes before our students graduated. We thank her for her valuable contributions.

From the department of Educational Sciences at TED University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Münevver İlgün Dibek and Asst. Prof. Dr. Elif Öztürk gave seminars on Workshop about Effective Communication and Competent Teacher at TED Hatay College on April 13th. During the workshop, they gave seminars on "Measurement and Evaluation Methods That a Competent Teacher Should Know” and  “ Who is an  Effective Teachers" to  250 participants including preservice teachers of Mustafa Kemal University, primary school teachers at TED College in Hatay, other TED colleges and MoNE schools.
