Nergis Hazal Yılmaztürk

Nergis Hazal Yılmaztürk attended TED Ankara College from elementary school to high school. She got her bachelor's degree as a top-scoring student from the Psychological Counseling and Guidance Program at Başkent University in 2015. She attended Kazimierz Wielki University in Poland as an Erasmus student in 2013. She worked as a peer counselor at Başkent University Psychological Counseling and Guidance Center in 2014. She graduated from Middle East Technical University (METU| Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi-ODTÜ) Department of Psychological Counselling and Guidance, M.Sc. program, in 2018 and completed her Ph.D. in the same department in 2024.

Dr. Yılmaztürk  has completed advanced training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Process-Based Therapy (PBT). Her research interests are perceived stress, coping, disordered eating (esp. emotional eating), and sharenting. Between October 2015 and September 2022, she worked as a research assistant at the Guidance and Psychological Counseling Department, TED University. Since then she has been working as a Lecturer, Ph.D. in the same department.
